C. Wonder offers an entirely new retail experience, with a store environment that excites and inspires as much as the products they offer. So when it came to colorful graphics for spring, they turned to Coloredge to make innovative storefronts come to life. ‘Spring Hits’ was the theme for the Soho Flagship and Time Warner Center stores in New York City, and storefront windows needed to be decked out in just one week. Custom, eight-foot tall ‘jukeboxes’ were constructed out of wood as the centerpiece for each window.
One prominent aspect Coloredge needed to be mindful of was the sturdiness of the structures, which needed to support the weight of the mannequins being displayed (approximately 45 pounds each). In addition, a five-foot tall wooden jukebox was suspended from the wall using cleats. Coloredge fine-tuned the graphics to fit the jukeboxes seamlessly, and wrapped them in self-adhesive vinyl–printed by Coloredge with a vibrant, saturated checker box pattern–before sending them to the stores.
In-store columns were wrapped with self-adhesive vinyl on location. To add the finishing touches, C. Wonder staged mannequins and store products, as well as accenting the jukeboxes with brightly colored records to complete the musical theme.
With a quick turn-around C. Wonder was delighted with the results. Since the completion of the job, Coloredge has continued to work with C. Wonder on three additional stores. Our work can be seen in the Southampton, Easthampton, and Nantucket locations; they feature a nautical theme containing flags, anchors, and boardwalks.
