Coloredge’s Digital Media Solution a Finalist for the American Business Awards

This year is the 10th Annual American Business Awards and Coloredge’s Digital Media Solutions (which includes digital signage) is a finalist for best new product or service of the year in Media and Entertainment. Finalists were determined in preliminary judging that took place over five weeks in April through May, by more than 140 executives. Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award placements will be determined in final judging, May 14-25, by over 150 members of 10 specialized final judging committees. New product awards will be presented at the tech awards Gala in San Francisco on September 17, 2012.

In 2011, Coloredge realized with its broad client base, it was imperative to offer an end-to-end turn-key solution for digital signage. The focus is primarily on retail environments, but Coloredge also has solutions for schools, quick service restaurants, corporate messaging and sports/entertainment venues.

Over the past year Coloredge has solidified partnerships with distributors. These allow clients the best opportunities on hardware pricing with the top quality commercial grade displays. Additionally the company became a reseller of the YCD platform.  YCD’s robust software is targeted for the retail market and has various tools to demonstrate ROI. Their media player is windows based and is therefore able to quickly have the latest technology integrated into the system. This allows Coloredge to create highly customized interactive solutions in house, augmenting the player to do things specific to a single location or strategy.

Given its successful record with professional services within the print industry, it was only logical that Coloredge could advance in digital signage solutions. The skill set required to project manage large installs already existed in house. Furthermore, the sales team is experienced on strategizing with retailers on placement of in-store graphics. This directly translates to helping retailers identify the appropriate touch points for digital signage.

By being the provider of digital signage and with the internal creative capability, Coloredge is quickly able to leverage its other creative services, including retouching, CGI, illustration, animation and motion graphic design.  With having all the talent in-house, Coloredge can produce engaging content and publish it out to screens in a very short turn. The final step in offering a turnkey solution is ongoing playlist and content management. The digital team on hand is able to update and push new content out to any client using a network based media player.
