Bringing the history of dance back to life new york, ny

Throughout the 1960’s, Judson Dance Theater quietly redefined what was was considered dance. This happened through performances that drew from everyday movements and gestures drawn from the street or home, and was documented using a now classic 35mm film camera. ‘Judson Dance Theater: The Work is Never Done’ was given the green light to go on exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City earlier this year, and Coloredge beckoned the call to restore and revive the vivid imagery that made this dance theater so well known.

Through round after round of scans and light handed retouching and enhancement, the images which had not seen the light of day for many years, were then framed for display, which will stay up at the museum until early 2019.
